Green TV’s latest drama Pamaal has grabbed attention soon after its debut — not only for its powerful cast but also for its surprising use of artificial intelligence.
Written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Khizer Idrees, Pamaal marks the first on-screen collaboration between acclaimed actors Saba Qamar and Usman Mukhtar. The show’s first episode opened with a glittering award ceremony scene featuring guest appearances by veteran actors Sarmad Khoosat and Saif-e-Hassan.
However, what truly caught the audience’s attention wasn’t the star power — it was the crowd itself. Viewers quickly noticed that the attendees in the award show sequence were AI-generated, a first-of-its-kind experiment in Pakistani television.
The innovative move by the creators has sparked mixed reactions online. Some praised the effort to introduce new technology in local productions, calling it “a bold step for Pakistani dramas.” Others, however, felt the AI visuals looked “odd and unrealistic,” with one viewer joking, “Waddafuq kinda AI was that?”
Earlier, Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has once again captivated her fans with behind-the-scenes glimpses from the shooting of her upcoming drama serial Pamaal. The actress shared a series of sun-kissed pictures and candid moments from the set, offering fans a peek into the serene and picturesque locations where the drama is being filmed.
In the photos, Saba is seen basking in the warmth of the sunlight, with the clear blue skies and lush green landscapes of the northern areas serving as a stunning backdrop. The actress’s radiant smile and relaxed demeanor reflect the joy and tranquility she finds in nature. One of the photos features her enjoying a peaceful moment by a river, capturing the essence of serenity and connection with the environment.
The behind-the-scenes images also showcase Saba’s interactions with the cast and crew, highlighting the camaraderie and teamwork that go into bringing a production to life. Fans have expressed their appreciation for the actress’s openness and the opportunity to witness the making of the drama. The posts have garnered numerous likes and comments, with fans praising Saba’s beauty and the breathtaking scenery.
