Story of devotee Dhanurdas

In the Indian saint tradition, there have been many such devotees who are discussed in the world. He has shown with his devotion that true love is only for God. Not only this, with the guidance of the Guru, man can follow the path of salvation. One such unique devotee has been a devotee Dhanurdas, who became famous as the beloved disciple of Sri Ramanujacharya and the supreme devotee of Lord Srirangnath. His wife was crazy before coming to the shelter of Lord Srirangnath. The story of this craze has been told by Premanand Maharaj, the saint of Vrindavan.

Premanand Maharaj says that a person was very enamored in his wife, whose name was Dhanurdas. He later became a great devotee. His wife was so beautiful in his eyes that he could not even go outside to take vegetables outside without him. If you go to take vegetables, then the wife used to go together. He used to walk with an umbrella behind his wife. People used to laugh at him, but he did not care about laughter.

Maharaj says that once the disciples told Acharya Sri Ramanujacharya that we have seen a strange man, who is very high on his wife, then Acharya Sri Ramanujacharya said that he is a man of work because all the people have been engaged. After this, Acharya went close to Dhanurdas and said that look at me. So he topped the eyes from below and saw that there is a Mahatma. He told Sri Ramanujacharya that I cannot remove my eyes from my wife. I think if I remove the vision, I will not be able to live.

Dhanurdas became such a supreme devotee of God

Premanand Maharaj explains that Acharya Sri Ramanujacharya was very happy to hear Dhanurdas, so why he said that he should be enamored with so much wife. He replied that I find my wife very beautiful. On this, Sri Ramanujacharya said that if it is shown even more beautiful, then Srirangnath appeared as soon as Sri Ramanujacharya touched. Seeing God, Dhanurdas remained speechless and left the umbrella from his hand. After this, he became the supreme devotee of Lord Srirangnath.
