Close on the heels of winning the State Award for Second Best Film for his debut 777 Charlie , director Kiranraj K has more reason to celebrate — he’s all set to tie the knot with fiancée Anaya Vasudha on November 30.

Anaya, an accomplished classical dancer, runs a Bharatanatyam institute in Birmingham along with her mother. “I met her while pursuing a course in animation in the UK, and she’s a lovely person,” shares Kiran, who got engaged to Anaya in Mangaluru in January. Kiran has recently returned from the UK where the duo had a huge pre-wedding party with their friends.

Kiran and Anaya have chosen to exchange vows in a traditional ceremony at the Uma Maheshwara Temple in Kasargod. “It will be a simple one attended by close family and friends. Both Anaya and I love traditions, which is why we chose to get married at this ancient temple in my hometown,” adds Kiran.

A film with Dhruva Sarja in the offing?

Kiranraj ’s recent birthday wish for actor Dhruva Sarja set off speculation about a possible collaboration between the two. Clarifying the buzz, Kiran says, “We’ve met a few times. Dhruva loved 777 Charlie, and I like him as a person — especially his humble nature. I’d love to work with him, and if things fall into place, we’ll make it official.”
