Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reunited, leaving their fans both surprised and excited. The former couple came together for the premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman in New York City on October 7. JLo features alongside Diego Luna and Tonatiuh in the film, which has been co-produced by Affleck. Their appearance on the red carpet was unanticipated yet touching, as they embraced each other, beaming for the cameras. Jen-Ben finalized their divorce in January of this year.

About Kiss of the Spider Woman
JLo and Affleck were joined by Tonatiuh as well. Kiss of the Spider Woman has been produced by Affleck in collaboration with his friend and Hollywood icon Matt Damon through their venture, Artists Equity. The film is directed by Bill Condon, known for his work in Chicago. This musical drama is adapted from the stage musical created by Terrence McNally, John Kander, and Fred Ebb. It marks the second film adaptation of the 1976 novel by Argentine writer Manuel Puig, following the Brazilian version from 1985. Lopez plays the role of Ingrid Luna/Aurora/The Spider Woman.

During the screening, Affleck praised his ex-wife's performance. As reported by Hollywood Reporter, he remarked, "It’s a privilege to be here. This film is remarkable. Jennifer, you’re amazing. Bill, you did a fantastic job. [Tonatiuh], you’re outstanding. Welcome to a journey of stardom. Enjoy it. There will be highs and lows, but here you are."
"It’s genuinely a joy and a privilege, and I’m just proud of this film. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it," Affleck continued.

JLo called the film 'best thing' that happened to her
Jennifer Lopez also conveyed her appreciation to Ben Affleck for supporting her film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, despite their separation. In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, she shared, "It was challenging not to reflect on things, but it was both the best and worst of times in a sense, because every moment on set and while I was embodying this character, I felt immense joy. Yet at home, things weren’t great."

She added, "It was a struggle to find balance. But you push through it. Honestly, I must say it was the best thing that ever happened to me."
