Shruti addressed the age gap dilemma and affirmed that she was taken aback, “We have a 17-year age gap. I think when I asked him, ‘How old are you?’, and then he told me, I was like ‘Really?’ I knew there was an age gap, but I didn’t know how much.” To which he responded that it never bothered her that much.

Despite the age difference, Mishra was ‘all in’ in the relationship and certainly wished for a long one. Recalling the first conversation with the actor, she had said, “Listen, I don’t know about the age gap but I think we have to live together for a very long time and I don’t care about the age gap, you have to live longer than me because I am not going to be without you for even a day so I am going to go first and you are going to stay on.” Talking about the family affair, Manish’s family was ‘pretty chilled out,’ but it took two years to slowly talk to her family. Meanwhile, the couple also highlighted that it was important for him to introduce her to the Chaudharis.

The casual proposalElsewhere in the interview, Shruti narrated the ‘casual proposal,’ where they were sitting on a sofa during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he popped the question. “I was like, ‘Is that a proposal?’ He said yes, and I said okay.
