The road bridge for which the people of Muzaffarpur and Saran districts were waiting for a long time is now moving towards completion. This bridge to be built between Fatehabad (Muzaffarpur) to Chanchaliya (Saran) on Gandak River will not only reduce the distance but will also give a new impetus to the social and economic development of these two districts.

This bridge will make transportation between the two districts extremely easy. Whereas earlier people had to resort to long and winding routes like Rewa-Maker, now it will be possible to reach Saran directly from Fatehabad via Taraiya. This will not only save time but will also reduce fuel consumption, thereby reducing transportation costs.
Construction will be done with state-of-the-art technology
This bridge to be built on the Gandak River will be a great example of modern engineering. PSC (Prestressed Concrete) technology will be used in it, which is known for strong and durable bridge construction. The length of the bridge will be approximately 60 meters and it will be constructed with 38 spans. Apart from the main bridge, three small bridges will also be constructed on its connecting routes, so that the connectivity of the entire area can be further improved.
Employment and development will get a boost
Construction of the bridge will provide employment opportunities to the local people. A large number of workers and engineers will be required in the construction work, which will increase the means of livelihood at the local level. Moreover, once the bridge is ready, business activities will pick up in the areas around it. Businesses like small industries, transport services, hotels and shops will get a boost.
Currently, people have to travel long distances to go from Muzaffarpur to Saran, which leads to huge wastage of time and resources. After the construction of this bridge, people will be able to reach Taraiya directly via Basaitha and Fatehabad, which will be a big change.
