
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India Mobile Congress 2025 at the Yashobhoomi Conference Centre in New Delhi. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia presented Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a unique token representing the idea of ‘Making for the World’, consisting of miniatures of indigenous technologies, including 4G RAN, ASIC and 5G antenna all domestically produced. The three-day tech forum, now in its ninth edition is scheduled to take place between 8 and 11 October. The Yashobhoomi conference centre is expected to welcome 1.5 lakh visitors over the course of the next three days. Scindia, who had previously reviewed the organisation and venue ahead of the conference, then took the stage for the welcome address.
Scindia said, “This talk of transformation will not be possible, unless we talk about our swadeshi innovation, in our factories, in our workshops, where ideas become products. The Prime Minister’s resolve with the Production-Linked Incentive scheme, today has resulted in close to 91,000 crore of new production, 18,000 crore of exports, and the creation of 30,000 new jobs. India today, as a product nation, distinct from a service nation, means creators besides consumers, patents besides pragmatism, and local design languages creating a new aesthetics of devices, that will carry Indian crafts into the world of electronics.”
Programme Agenda
India Mobile Congress 2025 is jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). A number of major events are planned as part of the forum, including the Bharat 6G Symposium with participation by IIT Madras and the Bharat 6G Alliance. Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and BSNL will all discuss the future of telecom in the country after lunch on the first day, with a number of industry keynotes planned for the evening. Day 2 will see the inauguration of the International AI Summit, followed by a number of invited talks and the Quantum Summit. The cyber physical systems summit on Day 2 will see participation by the Indian Army. The focus will shift to telecom technologies and AI in the second half of Day 2. On Day 3, there will be the Startup World Cup India Edition, as well as a panel on non-terrestrial networks.
