New Delhi: TV9 Network, the primary news network in India, is back with the second edition of the highly anticipated News9 Global Summit, which will take place in Stuttgart, Germany, from October 9 to 10. Like last year, the summit this time focuses on strengthening bilateral ties between India and Germany amid a chaotic time and changing global order.

Some of the important sessions of the prestigious summit

The Opening Address

The crucial Opening Address of the summit will be delivered by Barun Das, MD and CEO of TV9 Network, at 9:45 a.m. on October 9. Last year, while commenting on the aim of the summit, he said, “The News9 Global Summit aims to deepen bilateral relations between India and Germany, bringing together stakeholders from diverse fields to develop actionable solutions for mutual growth. As Europe’s largest economy, Germany is a key partner for India, and this summit marks the first such initiative by an Indian news media organisation.”

BW-Maharashtra: The Perfect Partnership Decade

This session will take place on October 9 from 11:25 a.m. The key speakers of this session are Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Winfried Kretschmann, the Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg. As Stuttgart and Mumbai invest in smart infrastructure and climate-resilient development, Baden-Württemberg and Maharashtra emerge as a compelling model for bottom-up diplomacy in a multipolar world. This is not just a celebration of the past but a solid blueprint for bilateral engagement that works.

India-EU FTA: Mission 2025

This session will take place on October 9 at 10:40 a.m. The key speakers are Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Maroš Šefčovič, European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security. In the wake of global trade realignments, India and the European Union are moving rapidly toward a long-delayed Free Trade Agreement with high stakes for industry, sustainability, and geopolitical balance. Keynote addresses by Goyal and Šefčovič will highlight what is on the table: market access, regulatory harmonisation, duties, rules of origin, and environmental & labour standards.

Global Reset: India In the Lead

This session will take place on October 9, at 11:05 a.m. As the world recalibrates after major economic shocks, supply chain disruptions, and climate imperatives, India’s role in the reset is unmistakable. In this address, Anurag Thakur, BJP MP and Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Coal, Mines and Steel, Government of India (GoI), will argue that India is not just a participant in the global reordering, but it is setting the pace. From energy transition to digital trade, and from critical minerals to resilient supply networks, India’s leadership in the Global South and its partnerships with economies like Germany demonstrate how emerging markets can anchor global stability.
