- Sukhoi Su-30MKI: India has about 275 such aircraft. Russia handed it over for the first time in 2002. Now it is manufactured by HAL. This 2-seater fighter aircraft moves at a speed of 2,110 kilometers per hour. With range recoiling it can fly with a weight of 38,000 kg.
- Rafael: There are more than 30 Rafales from India. This fighter jet which came from France can fire 2500 shots in a minute. Its radar is considered powerful. It can identify 40 targets simultaneously within a radius of 100 kilometers. It is capable of flying with a load of up to 25,500 kg.
- Tejas: Tejas is an indigenous fighter aircraft jointly developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and DRDO. With this, India joined those countries which can make their own fighter aircraft. Tejas Mark 1A is an advanced version of the light combat aircraft made in the country. It has the power to blow up 800 tons of Indian weapons. Can hit multiple targets simultaneously.

- Mirage 2000: He is also called the hero of the Kargil war of 1999. This is a French multi-role fighter aircraft and is adept at destroying enemy targets even in the dark of night. Its laser guided bomb system is very powerful. This aircraft had attacked the enemy bunkers built on Tiger Hill during the Kargil war. In those times, army operations at night were challenging.
- MiG-29 UPG: The Indian Air Force is preparing to upgrade it. This will increase the power to attack the ground from the air. It is known for air-to-air attacks. Now the Army is preparing to increase its power by equipping it with 'High Speed Low Drag' i.e. HSLD-Mk II Precision Guided Bomb.
Historical missions of Indian Air Force
- Operation Vijay (1947–48 Jammu and Kashmir War): Protected Kashmir from Pakistan's attack and sent troops by airlift.
- Operation Vijay (1961): The Air Force played an important role in liberating Goa from Portuguese rule.
- India-Pakistan War (1965): Indian Air Force created history by destroying Pakistani bases on the western front.
- Operation Genghis Khan (1971): Played an important role in the independence of Bangladesh and defeated Pakistan.
- Operation Meghdoot (1984): Indian Air Force created history by taking control of Siachen Glacier.
- Operation Poomalai (1986–87): The Air Force worked to provide relief to Tamil citizens in Sri Lanka.
- Operation Safed Sea-Kargil War (1999): Weakened enemy positions by carrying out air strikes.
- Operation Bandar-Balakot Air Strike (2019): After the Pulwama attack, terrorist hideouts in Pakistan were destroyed by air strikes.
- Operation Snow Leopard (2020-21): Air Force and soldiers were deployed in Ladakh during tensions with China.
