This is called choking. In this way, the child may suffocate if something gets stuck in the throat. That is why as soon as something gets stuck in the child's throat or the child starts choking, parents should immediately act wisely and remove the stuck thing from the throat. Pediatrician Ravi Malik is telling how this will happen and what things can be kept in mind to remove the thing stuck in the throat of the child. All parents must listen to the advice of the pediatrician.
What to do if something gets stuck in a child's throat? What To Do If Baby Is Choking
Dr. Ravi Malik says that if something gets stuck in the child's throat or the child starts choking, then first of all see whether the child is coughing or not. If the child is coughing then let him cough because it is possible that the thing stuck in his throat may come out by coughing. If the child is not coughing, then make him lie down on your forearm i.e. the part between the wrist and the elbow, the child's head should be slightly downwards and open the child's mouth slightly. After this, pat the child's back with the corner of the palm. With this, the stuck object gets removed from the child's mouth.
If even after this the thing that has come out of the child's throat does not come out, then make the child lie down straight and press lightly on the child's chest with two fingers. This will also remove the thing stuck in the child's throat. If it doesn't come out even after this, then make it lie upside down on your hand and pat it once again like before.
What to do if something does not come out even after doing everything?
The doctor says that even after doing everything, if the stuck object does not come out of the child's throat, the child's color starts turning blue, the child is having difficulty breathing and he is suffocating, then immediately take him to the doctor for medical help. Parents should keep in mind that they will have to be fast so that the stuck thing can be removed from the child's mouth as soon as possible.
