Lakme Fashion Week is awaited with enthusiasm every year in the world of fashion and lifestyle. This year this event is entering its 25th year. It has been introducing new trends and new designs in the fashion world for the last two decades. Lakme Fashion Week has made its mark as the hub of fashion business and creativity in India.

The event will run for 5 days

This year’s event started on October 8 and will last for a total of 5 days. This time more than 100 designers, brands and fashion industry stakeholders are participating in the showcase. The event is being organized in collaboration with FDCI (Federation of Indian Designers Association), Lakme and Reliance, which is an effort to promote the Indian fashion industry on the global platform.

On the first day, Wednesday, October 8, the fashion collection by Akaro, Anavila and The Edit was inaugurated at The Kunj, Delhi. This showcase presented new opportunities in the field of Indian creativity and design.

Famous designers will participate

Many big and famous designers are going to participate in the event. This list includes Tarun Tahiliani, Abraham & Thakor, Shantanu Nikhil Couture, Supima and Rahul Mishra. All these designers will attract the audience through their fashion collections at The Grand, Vasant Kunj.

This year some special and unique initiatives will also be seen in the event. For the first time, renowned designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil Velora will present their first all-women couture showcase, epitomizing glamor and boldness in the fashion world. Apart from this, renowned designer Suneet Verma is all set to launch his first ready-to-wear collection. This collection is specially designed for the modern woman and takes inspiration from the glamor of the 1970s, making it even more special.
