RP Singh said that we were talking even before Dravid became the head coach. Whenever we sit together, we talk only about cricket. We used to discuss who would be the next great fast bowler or spinner. Then I asked Rahul Bhai, who do you think can be the next captain? We have many contenders for captaincy. Gill is part of the long race

Gill made his ODI debut for India in 2019, then made his Test debut during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and made his place in the T20 team in 2023. However, he first made his place in the Test team and then confirmed his place in the limited overs team.
