Patna: An experiment is going on for seat distribution among all the parties regarding Bihar Assembly elections. Now JDU-BJP will resolve the issue of allies’ seats before their own seats. Responsibility for this has been assigned to BJP. JDU has clearly told BJP that first the seats should be distributed among the allies LJP (RA), RLMO and HAM. Only after this will JDU and BJP divide the seats among themselves. The distribution formula will be half each among the remaining seats. There may be one or two seats here and there.
Seeing the attitude of the allies in the last two-three days, it has been decided that their matter should be settled first. Chirag Paswan’s LJP (RA) has demanded 40 seats while Upendra Kushwaha’s RLMO needs 20 seats. Similarly, we need at least 15 seats for Jitan Ram Manjhi.

At present no one is ready to come down. All three are adamant on their demands. Thus the demand of allies has reached 75 seats. In such a situation, only 168 seats will be left with JDU-BJP. In such a situation the matter has become very complicated. On the other hand, JDU and BJP want to fight on at least 101-103 seats. The remaining 38-40 seats are to be divided among the allies. Thus, JDU’s demand is for 109 seats.
Only 33 seats will be left for other allies. There was a plan to reshuffle one or two seats. But the circumstances have changed after the new demand of the allies. The share of seats of allies is certain to increase slightly. That is why JDU has asked to determine the seats of the other three allies before sharing its seats with BJP. For this, talks have started with the leaders of the three parties. It is believed that the final decision regarding the seats will be taken in the next two days.
