Like every time, the new season of the reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ is in the headlines for all the drama and controversies. This time, a special contestant who entered the show – Indian cricketer’s sister Malti – has created a huge ruckus inside the house. The latest episode saw a heated argument with other contestants in the house over Malti refusing to do kitchen duty. This incident has created a stir among the viewers and social media users as well.
Malti’s flat denial: “I am not a maid”
In the last episode, when the process of handing over kitchen duties to the housemates took place as per the tasks set by Bigg Boss, Malti was also given the responsibility of the kitchen. But Malti immediately refused to accept kitchen duty. He said in clear words:
“I am not here to cook or wash dishes. I am not a maid.”
Hearing his statement, the rest of the contestants were surprised and the atmosphere became heated.
Sharp reaction from contestants
Malti’s attitude enraged many members of the Bigg Boss house. In particular, two senior contestants described his behavior as “arrogant” and “against teamwork.” One contestant said:
“If everyone has to do their own work, then how will this show run? This is not a five-star hotel.”
The matter escalated so much that some contestants even demanded that if Malti was not performing her duty, she should be punished.
Debate intensifies on social media
As soon as this episode of the show aired, #MaltiDrama and #KitchenQueen started trending on Twitter and Instagram. Some viewers supported Malti, saying that she should be kept away from kitchen duties as she has come to the show with a “special identity”. At the same time, there is a large section which believes that everyone is equal in Bigg Boss and no one should get any privilege.
Will Bigg Boss take action?
Looking at this whole matter, now all eyes are on the next announcement of Bigg Boss. Will Malti be punished? Or will they be exempted? As per the rules of Bigg Boss, if a contestant repeatedly refuses the tasks, action can be taken against him.
