Zoho CEO Mani Vembu said on Wednesday that the company has been closely working with the government on research and development, technology, and infrastructure initiatives. Speaking about the recent surge in new sign-ups, Vembu stated that the team has managed the increase effectively, calling the response both “surprising and encouraging.”

The comments came after Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced his switch to Zoho’s suite of office software, a move that has gone viral on social media. Shah’s post ended with the line, “Thank you for your kind attention to this matter,” which many users described as a witty nod to former US President Donald Trump’s Truth Social style.

Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu thanked Shah for supporting a homegrown platform, dedicating the moment to the company’s engineers who have worked for over two decades to build India’s indigenous tech ecosystem. The shift follows similar moves by IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who had earlier announced his transition to Zoho’s office suite.
