Bank Holiday: Banks will remain closed in some states on October 10 due to Karva Chauth. Especially in Himachal Pradesh, on the occasion of this festival, all government and private sector banks will remain closed on Friday, October 10, 2025. In all the rest of the states across the country, banks will remain open normally and regular banking operations will continue.

Karva Chauth is a special festival in which married women observe a fast for the long life, happiness and prosperity of their husbands. She observes waterless fast throughout the day and breaks her fast at night by seeing the moon. Due to this religious and social importance, banks will remain closed on this day in Himachal Pradesh.
