India captain Shubman Gill has won the toss and elected to bat in the second Test against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
“We will bat first as the wicket looks good. We want to be consistent and repeat the performances. We want to be ticking all the boxes. I like the responsibility, and the future looks exciting for me,” Shubman Gill said.
West Indies skipper Roston Chase wanted to bat first as well.
“We have batted first as the pitch looks dry. We had meetings and discussions with the batters. We want to bat 90 overs and need to be positive and play every ball on merit,” Roston Chase said.
