Morrisons is introducing a new "30 items" rule in 420 UK stores this October as part of a new delivery service.

The supermarket's new 'Morrisons Now' service will allow customers to order up to 30 items and get them delivered straight to their door in as little as one hour. The speedy food service is currently available in 158 UK stores via the Morrisons website, and a full rollout to 420 stores nationwide will be completed by the end of October. Morrisons said the service is designed for speed and convenience, and to help shoppers out with forgotten ingredients, last minute cravings or to cater for surprise guests. Shoppers who live close to one of the 158 stores where the service is currently live can now order up to 30 items by selecting Morrisons Now on the Morrisons website or via the Morrisons Groceries app.

The supermarket chain says the service brings together all the benefits of a Morrisons.com account in "one seamless experience", enabling customers to get what they need in just 60 minutes.

Customers can shop from their home delivery favourites, use 'Instant Shop' to build their order quickly, and have all their addresses and payment details saved and ready to go.

Once an order has been placed customers can track it in real time from store to door, with the delivery carried out by one of Morrisons trusted delivery partners on a courier bike or car.

And as an added bonus, shoppers can continue to earn More Card points and access Morrisons More Card promotions as usual.

Charlotte Exell, Group Online Director for Morrisons said: "We are delighted to offer this service to our customers across the country, supporting them with fresh food delivered fast.

"We know that life is busy and Morrisons Now is here to make those everyday moments easier, delivering what you need, within as little as an hour."

Morrisons said the new service is the latest step in its commitment to convenience and customer service, giving shoppers more ways to access fresh, high quality food at speed.

The new service is available now at 158 stores with a delivery fee of £4.50 and a minimum order value of £15. Morrisons Now will be up and running across 420 stores by the end of October.
