
Deepika Padukone actor and founder of the Live Love Laugh (LLL) Foundation has been appointed the countrys first Mental Health Ambassador by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). This move marks a major step by the ministry towards creating a more conducive environment for mental health in the country. Deepika Padukone Becomes Mental Health Ambassador for the Union Health Ministry On this occasion Shri J.P. Nadda Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare said “This partnership with Smt. The Live Love Laugh Foundation Completes 10 Years She will also work with the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to ensure everyone has easy access to mental health support and resources. This appointment comes as Deepika Padukones charity The Live Love Laugh Foundation has completed 10 years of service helping thousands of people. Launch of New Awareness Campaigns and Well-being Programs Over the past ten years Live Love Laugh has helped over 21931 people with mental illness and their caregivers across 15 districts in 8 states through its flagship Rural Community Mental Health Program. Live Love Laugh has also launched important awareness campaigns across the country such as “Dobara Poocho” “#NotAshamed” “You Are Not Alone” for teenage students and the “Doctors Program” for general practitioners. Recently Live Love Laugh has also launched a mental health and well-being program for companies.
