The Complete Process for Obtaining a VIP Number
Register on the Website - To obtain a VIP number, first visit the Ministry of Transport's website at parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/. You must then register as a public user. Registration requires your name, address, mobile number, and email address. Your account is activated after OTP verification.
Enter State and Vehicle Information - After registering and logging in to the website, you must select your state and vehicle category, such as bike, car, or commercial vehicle.
Select a number - After entering the vehicle category, you will see a list of VIP numbers on the website. You can search and select your preferred number from this list.
Registration Fee - After selecting a VIP number for your vehicle, you will need to pay a registration fee. This fee may vary depending on the number's popularity.
Participate in e-auction - After registering a VIP number for your vehicle, you can participate in the auction. If multiple bidders bid for a number, the highest bidder is awarded the VIP number.
Number Allotment - After winning the auction, you must pay the remaining fees for the VIP number. Once the fee is paid, you can download the allotment letter from the website.
Get the number registered at the RTO - After completing the VIP number registration process, you can take the allotment letter to the local RTO office and get the VIP number registered on your vehicle.
