Engine and Fuel System:

The company has not confirmed the exact engine for this model, but it is expected to use a 1.2-litre or 1.5-litre petrol engine, both of which are flex-fuel compatible. This setup could be derived from the WagonR Flex Fuel, which was previously showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo and 2024 India Mobility Global Expo.

Hybrid capacity:

Maruti Suzuki is also working on a hybrid version of the Fronx. Using a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, this hybrid setup developed by the company promises better fuel efficiency than conventional hybrid systems like Toyota’s Atkinson-cycle, and its mileage could potentially exceed 35 km/litre.

With its combination of flex-fuel capability, hybrid efficiency and sporty SUV styling, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is set to attract eco-conscious buyers looking for performance and style.
