New Delhi . The 10-day shutdown in America has now started having a negative impact on government jobs. According to the White House, layoff of government employees has started. It is being told that the Donald Trump administration has started taking such strict steps to put pressure on the Democrat MPs to end the shutdown. Agencies say that many employees have received layoff notices.

It has been told by the Budget Office that the court has been informed about how many employees are to be retrenched. The Director of Management and Budget wrote on social media platform X, reduction in workforce has started. According to estimates, if the shutdown continues further, 4 thousand government employees may lose their jobs.

According to reports, maximum 1400 people may lose their jobs in the finance department. At the same time, the jobs of 1 thousand people in the health department are under threat. 400 jobs to the Ministry of Education and Urban Development may also be lost. Hundreds of employees in other departments may also be laid off.

Generally people were not fired from government jobs forever. They were given a few days leave and could resume their jobs after the shutdown was over. Officials say that this time 75 thousand employees can be sent on such leave. Democrats say that it is not right to suddenly take a job from someone like this.

Let us tell you that due to the shutdown, the visits of MPs to the Parliament House complex ‘Capital’ have come to a halt, while the work in the House is closed. Lawmakers from the Republican Party, who have a majority in Congress, believe they have the upper hand politically as they are thwarting Democratic Party demands for immediate funding for health insurance subsidies as part of any plan to end the ‘shutdown’.

But Democratic lawmakers are also standing firm, confident that Americans are with them in the fight to stop skyrocketing health care costs, and they are blaming Trump for the shutdown.
