S Club star Jo O'Meara has revealed she was in a hospital dash after seriously burning herself while making soup at home. Taking to Instagram the 46-year-old mum of one showed off a huge bandage across her stomach area as she explained what had happened. The singer revealed the accident occured when she was cooking for her friend Cindy Lazarus, with whom she stars in the documentary No Ordinary Zoo.

The Reach singer posted a video where she spoke to camera as she removed her make-up. In the caption she said she was "completely done!" Speaking to her fans she began: "So I went to make Cindy soup yesterday. I'm gonna show exactly how that went," she said pulling her top up and her tousers down slightly to showcase the enormous bandage covering her belly. "That's what happened. That was me trying to make a soup. So I've come to the conclusion I can't cook. I shouldn't be allowed to cook.

"I'm just not safe. I'm not safe. I'm not safe in the kitchen. I'm not safe anywhere near a kitchen. And we know this now because I've tried every day since we got back from our holiday...I've tried so b***** hard, and I can't do it.

"The little soup maker was on, the little Ninja (and) because of the comments I'd said... if there was any recipe ideas to send them forward. And there was a few on there for soup.

"So I went, 'let's just do the soup, because it's easy. Really, really easy," she laughed wryly. "...(I've) burnt myself to pieces and now I've got back every two days (to the hospital) to get this dressing changed.

"And I can't tell you how much it...I mean, it b***** hurt a lot. It really, really hurt. I cried real water, tears and everything. It was terrible. Made me very sad."

She proceeded to tell fans that Cindy would be doing the cooking from now on and she was quite happy to assist her by handing her implements or cutting vegetables.

"I'm just glad that it wasn't my face," she refelcted. "Because it could have quite easily been my face.

"I'm officially banned for life from the kitchen, and I'm never, ever cooking anything again.

"You lucky to get a bit of toast out me," she quipped before signing off.
