
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assured justice, security, and government support to the family of Hariom Balmiki, a Dalit man who was lynched by a mob in Rae Bareli over false theft allegations. During their meeting in Lucknow, the victim’s wife, Sangeeta Balmiki, said, “Only Baba can protect Dalits.”
She expressed satisfaction with the government’s action so far and said she trusts justice will be served. The Chief Minister announced that the family will receive a house under the CM Housing Scheme, a permanent job for Sangeeta, and full access to all welfare schemes. He reaffirmed the state’s zero-tolerance policy toward such crimes and promised the culprits will face the harshest punishment.
CM Yogi Meets Victim’s Family in LucknowHariom Balmiki’s wife Sangeeta Balmiki, her father Chhote Lal and their daughter Anyana met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. The CM expressed condolences, heard their concerns and assured strict action against the accused.
“Only Baba Can Protect Dalits” – Victim’s WifeAfter the meeting, Sangeeta Balmiki said she had full faith in the government’s actions. Referring to CM Yogi as “Baba,” she thanked him for standing with Dalits and expressed confidence in getting justice.
Strict Action Against the AccusedThe Chief Minister said the accused were arrested within 24 hours of the incident. The government will ensure strong representation in court so that the culprits receive the harshest punishment possible.
Housing and Job for the Victim’s FamilyCM Yogi announced that the family will receive a house under the CM Housing Scheme. Sangeeta Balmiki will be given a permanent job. The government will also ensure the family gets all welfare scheme benefits.
Dalit Protection is a Top PriorityCM Yogi reaffirmed that protecting Dalits, the marginalised, and the oppressed is the state government’s top priority. He made it clear that there will be zero compromise on law and order in Uttar Pradesh.
