The second India vs West Indies Test in the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, starting October 10, 2025, has witnessed India being in complete command as the hosts continued to dictate the terms. After a mammoth first innings total of 518 for 5 declared, India released a disciplined bowling onslaught on Day 3 to keep the West Indies under constant pressure. One of the highlights was when India's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah sent Khary Pierre's off stump cartwheeling, a crucial wicket in the session.
In the 73rd over of the game, Bumrah displayed his deadly reverse swing bowling by removing Pierre's stumps, bowling a full-length ball outside off stump at about 140 km/h. The ball shaped away late and beat Pierre's outside edge, sending the off-stump cartwheeling.
Pierre, who had scored a patient innings of 23 runs from 46 balls with 3 fours, therefore saw his resistance come to an end just after lunch. This wicket also tipped momentum strongly in India's favor as West Indies found it difficult to form partnerships with the Indian bowling unit led by Bumrah and spinner.
India's rampant superiority was on display throughout Day 3 with the visitors struggling to negate the varied Indian attack. West Indies, who were 270 runs behind after their first innings collapsed to 248, could only muster 81 runs in losing 9 wickets in 81.5 overs of bowling on Day 3.

Kuldeep was especially impressive with the ball, taking five wickets, and Ravindra Jadeja took three, further reducing the Windies batting order. Mohammed Siraj also chipped in by getting Jomel Warrican out.
Although there was some lower-order resistance from Anderson Phillip (24 not out) and late resistance from Pierre, the West Indies innings was continually disrupted by stinging blows from the Indian bowlers. This helped India keep a firm grip on the Test match, with the visitors still finding it difficult to stave off the follow-on.
The solid batting by Shubman Gill, who was unbeaten on 129, and Yashasvi Jaiswal's 175 laid the foundation for India's first innings lead, which the bowling unit has reinforced assertively. India have enforced a follow on on West Indies on their second innings.
