TCS market cap: In a major boost for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) amid the power tussle unraveling within the Tata Group the IT giant added a whopping Rs 45678.35 crore to its market valuation last week which now rests at Rs 1095701.62 crore. TCS emerges biggest gainer amid Tata Group power tussle TCS--Indias largest IT services exporter emerged as the biggest gainer as the combined market cap (mcap) of eight of countrys top-10 most valued firms surged by Rs 194148.73 crore in line with an optimistic trend at the Dalal Street. TCS strong showing at the stock market comes amid the ongoing power tussle within Tata Trusts-- the majority shareholder of  Tata Groups holding company Tata Sons-- which has essentially divided the salt-to-semiconductor conglomerate into two opposing camps. According to reports the current power tussle within the Tata Group stems from board appointments access to information and Tata Sons long-delayed listing plans which has resulted in a purported dispute between the trustees. A key meeting of the Tata Sons board is scheduled to be held on October 10 2025. (Friday). Which firms gained how much last week? According to market data Reliance Industries HDFC Bank Bharti Airtel TCS ICICI Bank State Bank of India Bajaj Finance and Infosys emerged as gainers during the last trade week while Hindustan Unilever and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) were the only laggards among Indias top-10 most valued firms. The market capitalisation (mcap) of TCS stood at Rs 1095701.62 crore an increase of Rs 45678.35 crore while the valuation of Infosys jumped Rs 28125.29 crore to Rs 629080.22 crore and that of HDFC Bank surged Rs 25135.62 crore to Rs 1507025.19 crore. The mcap of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries climbed Rs 25035.08 crore to Rs 1870120.06 crore Bajaj Finance added Rs 21187.56 crore to its valuation which jumped to Rs 636995.74 crore and the market value of State Bank of India edged higher by Rs 12645.94 crore to Rs 812986.64 crore. The market cap of ICICI Bank jumped Rs 11251.62 crore to Rs 986367.47 crore however LIC and Hindustan Unilever were the only laggards among the top-1o pack losing Rs 4648.88 crore and Rs 3571.37 crore respectively. The mcap of LIC stood at Rs 567858.29 crore and that of Hindustan Unilever declined to 594235.13 crore the data showed. Meanwhile Mukesh Ambanis Reliance Industries retained its coveted title of Indias most-valued firm followed by HDFC Bank Bharti Airtel TCS ICICI Bank State Bank of India Bajaj Finance Infosys Hindustan Unilever and LIC.
