Saudi Arabia takes a big leap in the field of Artificial Intelligence, will prepare 1 lakh AI warriors

Saudi Arabia AI initiative:Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly changed the global technological landscape and no sector has remained untouched by its impact. Keeping this change in mind, Saudi Arabia has also taken a historic step towards adopting AI and enhancing its national capabilities through it.

Plan to prepare 100000 AI experts
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has launched an ambitious national program that aims to train 1 lakh Saudi citizens in AI and data skills. This step is being considered a milestone in the direction of providing leadership in Artificial Intelligence to the country at the global level.

Partnership with Incorta and Vision 2030
This training program is being conducted in collaboration with American software company Incorta, which has been described as the largest AI training campaign in the region so far. This will play an important role in achieving the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, under which a total of 1 million people are planned to be trained in the AI ​​field. This strategy has been made in collaboration with SDAIA, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Human Resources.

Opportunity for youth through ‘Mustakbali’ program
MCIT has launched another initiative called ‘Mustaqbali’, which aims to provide AI skills to additional 50,000 youth. Through this program, efforts are being made to make youth and women competitive in the digital market of the future.

Emphasis on practical training of AI
Incorta CEO Osama Al-Qadi said that this initiative is a strong effort towards preparing citizens for future technological changes. The program will not be limited to just the current technologies of AI, but will also focus the participants on practical applications, data management and decision-making capabilities.

A step towards cultural and social inclusivity
Safa Al-Rashid, who is the Acting Deputy Minister at MCIT, explained that the program reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment towards social inclusion and economic empowerment by skilling youth, and especially women, in future areas such as AI and data. Thus, Saudi Arabia is not only accelerating the adoption of AI, but is also making it a medium for civic development, women empowerment and global technological leadership.
