Princess Eugenie has ignored her father Prince Andrew's latest scandal and instead has taken to social media to celebrate her 7th wedding anniversary. The princess, 35, has shared a photograph of her and her husband Jack Brooksbank kissing as she wears a jacket embroidered with his surname.

The princess captioned the post: "Happy Anniversary.. 7 years and counting!" This was followed with three love heart emojis.

The Instagram post comes just a day after it was revealed her father Prince Andrew, 65, had lied in his BBC Newsnight interview in 2019.

In the interview with Emily Maitlis, Andrew had said he ceased contact with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in December 2010.

However, The Sun and The Mail On Sunday have now seen an email sent by the Duke of York to Epstein in February 2011.

This email was sent a day after a photo of Andrew and Virginia Giuffre - who accused the duke of sexual assault - was shared in the media.

Andrew has always denied the claims made by Giuffre, who died earlier this year.

As reported by The Sun, the email - which was sent on February 28, 2011 from Andrew's official email account - reads: "I'm just as concerned for you! Don't worry about me! It would seem we are in this together and will have to rise above it."

The Sun reports that the prince also reportedly wrote to Epstein ""keep in close touch" and "we'll play some more soon!!!!"

Princess Eugenie has not addressed her father's latest scandal, which comes just weeks after it emerged her mum Sarah Ferguson had also emailed Epstein in 2011 and called him her "supreme friend" after he had been released from prison for child sex offences.

A spokesperson for Sarah, Duchess of York, said this email was only sent as the duchess feared Epstein was going to sue her for defamation after she criticised him in a previous interview.

The Duke of York has been contacted for comment on the latest scandal.
