Following their demand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered an investigation into the entire matter. The state government took a major decision and canceled the exam on October 5th. Following the news of the cancellation, the protesting students thanked the government. The UKSSSC exam, which was scheduled for October 5th but was postponed due to various reasons, will now be held on November 16th. The UKSSSC has announced the new date and also declared the results for the librarian exam. Following the leak of the exam question paper, members of unemployed organizations across the state camped in the capital, Dehradun, and launched a protest. Following this, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami tweeted that the exam scheduled for September 21st had been cancelled. Candidates have been awaiting the announcement of the new date. The government has provided significant relief to students by announcing the new date as November 16th.

On September 21st, the UKSSSC conducted a graduate-level exam, three pages of which were leaked via WhatsApp just half an hour after the exam began. In this case, a person named Khalid Malik sent his papers to Assistant Professor Suman. Khalid's sister, Sabia, was also involved in the case. Khalid and his sister, Sabia, are currently in judicial custody.
