AI Productivity: There are intense discussions around the job threat around the world regarding Artificial Intelligence, but Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian believes that AI has not come to take away anyone’s job, but to help people. He clearly said that “the purpose of AI is to assist employees in their work and increase their production, not to fire them.”

AI is an assistant to employees, not a replacement.

Citing the example of Google’s AI-powered Customer Engagement Suite, Thomas Kurian said that this technology has not prompted any company to lay off employees. Rather, the platform helps service teams answer customer questions more quickly and accurately, resulting in a better customer experience.

“When this technology was first launched, there were fears that it would put jobs at risk, but in reality it has done the opposite. It has made workers more efficient,” Kurian said.

AI is increasing employee productivity

Both Thomas Kurian and Google CEO Sundar Pichai consider AI a “productivity booster.” Sundar Pichai recently said that “AI has increased the productivity of Google engineers by 10%.” According to him, AI has helped employees become more creative and focus on important tasks.

Pichai also added that AI not only makes work easier but also keeps employees relevant in a rapidly changing corporate environment. He says that “AI empowers employees to survive in a competitive environment and face new challenges, it does not put them out of work.”

AI: the shared power of the future

Big leaders of the technology world say that in the coming time, AI will not replace humans, but will work together with them. It is this combination of human creativity and technological efficiency that can take both the speed and quality of businesses to new heights.
