To make the agriculture sector profitable, use of modern technologies is necessary. This will not only simplify the work of farmers, but will also reduce their costs and increase profits. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said this during discussions with the delegation from Argentina.
The Chief Minister stressed the need to further strengthen agricultural cooperation between Punjab and Argentina. He informed that representatives of Argentina’s Centro Agro-Technico Regional have come on a study tour to Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana from October 8 to 17.

The Chief Minister said that agriculture has an important place in Argentina’s economy. Argentina is one of the world’s leading food producing countries, particularly in animal husbandry and grain production. He told that these students have come here to understand the modern agricultural techniques prevalent in Punjab.

Referring to the long-running cooperation between Punjab and Argentina, the Chief Minister said that this partnership would prove beneficial for both the regions, as agriculture is the backbone of the economy of both. He said that both the countries can work together in the agriculture sector so that mutual cooperation can be further promoted.
Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed happiness to know that the Argentine delegation comes to Punjab Agricultural University every year on an educational tour, while the delegation of Punjab Agricultural University also visits Argentina to gain experience from the agricultural system there.
The Chief Minister said that both Argentina and Punjab face similar challenges to agriculture. He expressed hope that this bilateral cooperation will prove to be an important step in making agriculture profitable and sustainable.
