Post the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025, fintech platform Curie Money has opened its UPI-cum-investment app for all users.
Meanwhile, women-focussed fintech platform Lxme announced the launch of LxmePay – a UPI platform exclusively for women.
In a statement, Curie Money said it has exited its beta phase and opened access to all Android and iOS users for its platform after receiving approval from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
Founded in 2022 by Arindam Ghosh and Tushar Choudhary, Curie Money’s UPI app allows users to make payments as well as grow their money by automatically investing unused funds in liquid mutual funds.
The startup has partnerships with ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund and Bajaj Finserv AMC for investing users’ money in their fixed-income schemes. Curie Money claims that while making a payment, it instantly redeems the required amount from the mutual fund and transfers it to the users’ linked bank account within 2-5 seconds.
The app allows users to instantly withdraw up to 90% of their mutual fund value or INR 50,000, whichever is lower. The remaining amount can be withdrawn in one working day.
In December 2024, the Bengaluru-based startup raised $1.2 Mn in its seed funding round led by India Quotient.
Meanwhile, Lxme was founded in 2021 by Priti Rathi Gupta and Ridhi Doongursee. The Mumbai-based startup helps women control their finances better with investment and insurance products, financial planning calculators and financial literacy modules. It also provides financial education to help women make better financial decisions and access a community of over 400K women.
With the launch of LxmePay, the startup is aiming to assist women with financial savings by facilitating them to earn digital gold on transactions, long-term cashbacks, monthly trackers to maintain budgets and get automated insights.
The developments come days after UPI got a major facelift at the GFF 2025.
