The doctor explained that children's eyes are very sensitive. Therefore, it's important to exercise caution before applying any external substance, even kajal, because kajal can also harm the eyes.

He explained that grandmothers often used to tell us to apply kajal to keep the eyes clean, but this is just a myth and a practice in traditional families. Applying kajal changes the shape of the eyes, but this is not the case.

On the other hand, applying kajal creates a visual illusion where it darkens the outer line of the eyes, making them appear larger, but it does not affect the size.

He explained that most kajals available in the market contain lead and other chemicals, which are dangerous for children's eyes. This can cause irritation and infection, and some children may even develop allergies.

The doctor says that dust or bacteria can enter children's eyes, or they can cause redness and swelling. Therefore, caution is advised. However, homemade kajal made from ghee or oil may be safe because it is chemical-free.

If you want to apply homemade kajal, apply it very gently so that it does not affect the eyes. Also, take special care not to get the kajal inside the eyes.

The doctor advises that children's beauty should remain natural. Eyes look beautiful as they are. External beauty can harm not only the eyes but also the face.
