Meghan Markle has appeared among the speakers at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, DC, today. Appearing on stage, the 44-year-old discussed various business topics with Alyson Shontell, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Content Officer of Fortune Live Media.

The focus of the discussion appeared to be her lifestyle brand As Ever, which she launched back in March. The former working royal also used the discussion to speak of opportunities and challenges she has faced as a business founder, as well as her future plans for As Ever.

Meghan's latest appearance comes just days after she stepped out alongside Prince Harry for a host of events surrounding World Mental Health Day in New York City.

Taking to the stage at the Salamander DC Hotel, Meghan outlined her plans to "leverage her significant influence to build a successful, long-lasting business empire".

The royal also spoke about the possibility of a third season of her cooking show With Love, Meghan, with the second series having been released in August.

She revealed that she is still "exploring all the options" for her brand.

Speaking of the upcoming festive episode, Meghan added: 'Well the holiday special is coming out in November and it's a really good one. So we're able to say eight episodes for two seasons - that's a lot of work."

Speaking of her previous experience in television, she added: "And having done Suits for seven years, I remember what goes into production - how much people want content in different sizes.

"So what we're testing out now - it's amazing to be able to sit and watch a show for 30 minutes but how can I give you a recipe in two minutes and be able to share that with you - and how that continues to grow As Ever. So exploring all the options of what that could look like."

Her latest appearance comes just days after Meghan stepped out in New York City alongside Prince Harry.
