But, he had come to know about the bad news of salary reduction two months ago, i.e. in August itself, when the PCB had removed the players from Grade A and put them in Grade B in the new contracts.

Loss of Rs 15 lakh

The effect of demotion in the new contract list of PCB was that Babar Azam was getting 45 lakh Pakistani rupees per year earlier. Now it has reduced to 30 lakh Pakistani rupees. Meaning his salary was directly reduced by Rs 15 lakh.

Bad news on every birthday after the form is released

The situation has been the same ever since Babar Azam's form has gone down. Every birthday they are facing a bad news. Babar Azam's form is missing from the Asia Cup played in the year 2023. Since then he has celebrated 3 birthdays – 29th, 30th and 31st. He entered his 29th birthday in the year 2023 with the bad news of Pakistan's defeat at the hands of India in the ODI World Cup. So in 2024, on his 30th birthday, he faced the bad news of being dropped from the Pakistan team. And, now on his 31st birthday, Babar Azam's salary is less than before.
