Bihar elections: BJP announces third list of 18 candidates, fields Satish Kumar Yadav to take on Tejaswhi Yadav in Raghopur

The BJP has unveiled its third list of 18 candidates for the Bihar elections, featuring prominent figures like Vinay Bihari and Bina Devi. This follows the announcement of a second list and earlier reveals, including folk singer Maithili Thakur and former IPS officer Anand Mishra. The party previously released a first list of 71 candidates, balancing experience with new faces.

The BJP on Wednesday announced its third list of 18 candidates who will contest the upcoming Bihar elections only hours after releasing the second list of 12 candidates. The list includes well known personalities like Vinay Bihari from the Lauriya constituency. Meanwhile, it has fielded Bina Devi from Kochadhaman seat and Sanjay Pandey from Narkatiaganj. Further, Satish Kumar Yadav will contest against Tejashwi Yadav from in Raghopur.

Earlier in the day, BJP announced that folk singer Maithili Thakur will contest from the Alinagar constituency, and former IPS officer Anand Mishra, was fielded from Buxar.

Earlier on Tuesday, The BJP announced its first list of 71 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. The list highlights a balance between experienced leaders, sitting MLAs, and new entrants as the party looks to refresh its strategy ahead of the polls.


During that list, it was announced that Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will contest from Tarapur, while Vijay Kumar Sinha, also a Deputy Chief Minister, will fight from Lakhisarai.
