They say that on this day there is a wonderful coincidence of Purna Pradosh Kaal (twilight time) with Amavasya Tithi, which is super auspicious for Lakshmi worship.

According to the council, Kartik Krishna Amavasya will fall on Monday, October 20 in Shri Shubh Samvat 2082 and Shake 1947. This date will start from 2:32 pm on 20th October and will last till 4:25 pm on 21st October. But the full night of Amavasya is available only on 20th October, which is considered very lucky for Diwali.

Auspicious time for Lakshmi Puja 2025: Don’t miss this time

This time the top time of Lakshmi Puja is on Monday, October 20, during Pradosh Kaal in the evening. According to the Panchang, these Muhurtas are especially auspicious:

The main Lakshmi Puja Muhurat will run from 5:51 pm to 8:30 pm. Second ascendant i.e. auspicious time is from 7:18 to 9:15 pm. If you want to worship at night then in Leo ascendant from 1:48 pm to 4:00 am. It will be beneficial to perform puja from 10:37 pm to 12:12 am during the benefit period of Choghadiya.
