Who is this Rana Ranjit Singh? Son of former minister, brother of BJP MLA
The question is, who are these candidates with unique style? Actually, Rana Ranjit Singh is the brother of former Bihar government minister and BJP MLA Rana Randhir Singh. He is the son of former MP and minister Sitaram Singh. He is contesting from Muslim dominated Dhaka seat on AIMIM ticket. The number of Muslim voters is high here, but this time the Rajput candidate gave such a message of Hindu-Muslim unity that he came into discussion.
Example of Hindu-Muslim unity: Huge crowd of both communities in the procession
Rana Ranjit Singh, who reached Dhaka’s Sikarhana sub-divisional office barefoot, filed his nomination with a cap on his head and tilak on his forehead. People from both Hindu and Muslim communities were walking shoulder to shoulder in his procession. These pictures are presenting a wonderful example of Hindu-Muslim harmony. Slogans were raised in the procession – ‘I love Mohammed’ and ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Rana Ranjit said, we consider both of them equal.
Unique style of nomination: Why did he go barefoot?
Rana Ranjit clarified his style. He said that nomination is the first step in the temple of democracy. We go to the temple by taking off our shoes and slippers, similarly we reach the temple of democracy barefoot. Wearing cap and tilak means to show Hindu-Muslim unity.
