The Bharatiya Janata Party government in Gujarat carried out a Cabinet reshuffle on Friday, with state Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi taking oath as the deputy chief minister and Rivaba Jadeja, cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife, being inducted as a minister.

Sanghvi, 40, became the youngest person to become the deputy chief minister in Gujarat.

The Gujarat Cabinet now includes eight ministers from the Other Backward Classes community, six Patidars, four members of the Scheduled Tribes and three from the Scheduled Castes, reported India Today. Three of the ministers are women.

The new ministers who were inducted are Trikam Chhang, Swaroopji Thakor, Praveen Mali, PC Baranda, Darshana Vaghela, Kantilal Amritiya, Arjun Modhwadia, Pradyumn Vaja, Kaushik Vekaria, Jitendrabhai Vaghani, Ramanbhai Solanki, Kamleshbhai Patel, Sanjay Singh Mahida, Rameshbhai Katara, Prafull Panseria, Manisha Vakil, Ishwarsinh Patel, Dr Jayrambhai Gamit and Nareshbhai Patel.
