There was a jam in the markets on Dhanteras, huge shopping took place, business worth crores was done

Morena, 18 October (Read News). 2 days before Diwali, on Dhanvantari Jayanti and Dhanteras, crowd started emerging in the markets since noon on Saturday for shopping during Shubh Mangal Yoga and there was huge shopping in every sector. Apart from electronic items, electrical items, decorative items were also bought at the gift center, while in the same Sarafa market, a huge crowd of men and women were seen at the jewelers’ shops late in the afternoon to buy items other than gold and silver. Due to which the roads in the markets of the city were jammed. In view of the Dhanteras shopping, the police administration had deployed police at various places, but despite this, they were not seen to be managing the arrangements and the traffic system was completely affected.

Shopping on Dhanteras is considered auspicious, due to which the shops selling gold, silver and utensils remained bustling with activity in the markets till late night. A crowd of women and children were seen buying colors and various items to decorate the clothes shop and home, including bouquets and colorful rangoli. Since morning, on the occasion of Dhanteras, a large crowd was seen in the main markets of the city Hanuman Square, Lohia Bazaar, Sadar Bazaar, Sikarwari Bazaar, Shankar Bazaar, Jhanda Chowk, Pansari Bazaar, Station Road. Since morning, huge crowd was seen in utensils shops and bullion market.

According to Hindu belief, every person buys something on the day of Dhanteras, due to which a huge crowd was seen at the utensils and bullion traders throughout the day on Saturday. The process of purchasing started from morning itself and continued till late night. Thousands of people came to these markets for shopping as per their budget. Some were seen buying gold and silver, some utensils, some clothes, some vehicles, some property and electronic equipment.

Special worship of Lord Dhanvantari is done on Dhanteras. According to the story written in the Puranas, when the gods and demons churned the ocean, many gems came out of it. After the churning of the ocean, Lord Dhanvantari appeared with the nectar pot. The same day was also Trayodashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. Therefore, since then the trend of celebrating the festival of Lord Dhanvantri started on this date. In the Puranas, Dhanvantari is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
