Sonu Sood to direct action film on Bihar's political landscape

Actor-filmmaker-activist Sonu Sood is all set to direct another action film. The movie will be based on Bihar's socio-political landscape.

Sood recently told Bollywood Hungama that he has just completed the script and will also star in the lead role.

Sood further said, "I will for sure announce it in a big way since Bihar is a state very close to my heart. I have studied the state's dynamics from close quarters."

He added that he has been working on the film's details for the past 7-8 months and will soon make a major announcement.

Sood clarified that he is not interested in making a documentary-style political drama. He said, "I've chosen the world of Bihar this time for its dramatic potential, and it's definitely going to be an action film."

"Something that we all will be proud of. We have already been working for the past 7-8 months on the detailing of the film."

Sood also shared his views on cinema and the audience.

He said, "I don't look at cinema as only a money-making machine. Of course, I want my films to do well. Who doesn't want success?"

"But for me, the public is not just an audience for my film. They are my extended family. Bahot gehra rishta hai hamara unke saath."

Sood earlier directed the gory actioner Fateh, co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez.
