IIM Bangalore 2026 Summer Placements: Consulting dominates, Finance-IT also shows strength

IIM Bangalore 2026 Placements: IIM Bangalore concluded its summer placements for the PGP and PGP-BA 2025-27 batches on a grand note. 601 students received offers from 137 companies, covering sectors such as consulting, finance, product management and analytics.

IIM Bangalore 2026 Summer Placements: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bengaluru concluded its summer placements for the PGP and PGP-BA 2025-27 batch on a grand note. In the placement week held from October 13-18, 2025, 601 students received offers from 137 companies. Students got opportunities in different domains, including Consulting, Finance, Product Management, Sales and Marketing, General Management and Analytics.

Record-breaking consulting offers

This time the maximum offers came in the consulting domain, which was 46% of the total offers. This is more than 38% last year. There was a huge increase in the number of offers in investment banking and e-commerce domains also. Offers in healthcare increased by more than 70%. About 30% of the companies participated in placements for the first time this year.

Professor Nishant Kumar Verma, Chairperson, Career Development Services, IIM Bangalore, said, 'PGP and PGPBA students performed brilliantly in the Summer Placement Week. The Placement Committee and CDS office managed the process with utmost efficiency and professionalism. We greatly value the trust of our recruiters and look forward to strengthening these relationships in the future. Tapas Ranjan Pati, Head of Career Development Services, said, 'Global companies have responded very positively to both the performance of our students and the efficiency of the entire placement process. Management consulting was the most preferred sector this year, accounting for 46% of the total offers, followed by investment banking and product management. Old recruiters from Conglomerate, FMCG and General Management also selected students in large numbers. We would also like to point out that this year, Accenture Strategy made a record number of offers.

Reaction of placement committee

The 11-member placement committee said, 'With 601 students, the largest batch across all IIMs, this placement season saw a strong participation from both old and new recruiters. Almost 30% of the recruiters joined for the first time this time. This season is a testament to our institute's strong position in the industry and the confidence that recruiters have in our students.

In the summer placements of IIM Bangalore, the highest number of offers came in the consulting domain. A total of 23 firms made 282 offers.
