Rinku Singh Century in Ranji Trophy: India’s explosive batsman Rinku Singh once again proved that he is not only a limited overs player but also has the ability to turn matches in the longer format. In the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 match being played at Green Park, Kanpur, he brought Uttar Pradesh out of trouble by scoring a brilliant century against Andhra Pradesh. Rinku completed her century in 180 balls and kept the team in control by remaining unbeaten till the end. This was the 8th century of his first class career.
At one time, UP’s condition was very bad, the team had lost five wickets for 178 runs and was far behind Andhra’s first innings score of 470 runs. In such a situation, Rinku took up the responsibility, started with restraint and gradually put pressure on the opposition bowlers by batting aggressively.
Rinku Singh formed partnership with lower order batsmen
Rinku Singh got excellent support from Vipraj Nigam in this innings. Both of them made an important partnership of 122 runs for the sixth wicket and made a comeback for UP. This partnership changed the course of the match and took Uttar Pradesh beyond 300. After this he made a century partnership with Shivam Sharma and in the end he added 38 runs with Mavi.
Rinku Singh completes 3400 first class runs
With this inning, Rinku Singh has completed 3400 runs in his first class career. This was his 51st match and his average is over 54 which is a great figure for any batsman. So far, 8 centuries and 22 half-centuries have been registered in his name. The special thing is that despite so much consistency, Rinku has not yet got a chance to make his Test debut for India. However, he has played 34 T20 and 2 ODI matches for India and has performed well there too.
Rinku Singh’s next assignment
After creating a stir in Ranji, now Rinku Singh’s next mission is Australia tour. He is included in the Indian squad for the five-match T20 series India vs Australia. This series will be played from October 29 to November 8, and Rinku will be expected to continue her form in T20 as well.
