MP SET Notification 2025: The wait for students preparing for the MP State Eligibility Test is finally over. The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the MP SET exam notification. Application forms will be available on October 25, 2025, and the last date for submission is November 20, 2025.

What is the MP SET exam?

The MP SET exam is a state-level exam conducted to recruit assistant professors in colleges and universities. This exam consists of two papers: the first paper is worth 100 marks, and the second paper is worth 200 marks. This year, the exam is scheduled for January 2026. To apply, unreserved categories must pay an exam fee of ₹540, while reserved categories must pay ₹290. In addition, late applicants will be required to pay a late fee. Those submitting their forms between November 21 and 28, 2025, will have to pay ₹3,040. Those submitting their forms between November 29 and 10 days before the exam will have to pay a late fee of ₹25,000.

Eligibility Criteria for MP SET

To appear for the MP SET exam, candidates must have passed a postgraduate degree from a recognized university or institute. Interested candidates can apply for this exam in their final year of postgraduate studies, or even in their third or fourth year. Candidates must also have a minimum of 55% marks in their postgraduate studies. Relaxation in marks is also provided for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD).
