News India Live, Digital Desk: When a small town actor steps into Bollywood’s ‘Badshah’ Shahrukh Khan’s house ‘Mannat’ for the first time, what will be his reaction? Obviously, he will be surprised. The glitter spread all around, the big people and the luxurious atmosphere… it will be like a dream. But for actor Gulshan Devaiah, this experience was not only surprising, but also a bit ‘strange’ and ‘scary’. In today’s time, Gulshan Devaiah does not need any introduction. Gulshan, who has proven his acting prowess in films and series like ‘Hunter’, ‘Badhaai Do’ and ‘Dahad’, is a big name today. But there was a time when he was new in the industry and going to Shahrukh Khan’s house was like going to another world for him. “I was feeling like an outsider.” Gulshan, in a recent interview, recalled the day when he went to Shahrukh Khan’s house ‘Mannat’. He told that the atmosphere there was so grand and luxurious that he was not able to fit himself there. He felt as if he was an outsider who had accidentally entered someone else’s world. Gulshan said, “To be honest, I was feeling very uncomfortable there. I wanted to stand in a corner where no one could see me. Everything there was very wonderful. I am not used to that kind of environment.” When Gulshan got lost in the party, he further told that ‘Mannat’ is so big that once he got lost in the party. He went from one room to another and then he could not find his way back. He was looking for a quiet place away from the noise of the party and got lost in the process. This experience of Gulshan shows that as attractive as the glittering world of Bollywood looks from outside, it can be equally intimidating from inside, especially for those who come from small towns with big dreams. This is a world where it takes years to fit in. Although today Gulshan Devaiah is a successful and respected part of the same industry, but he will probably never forget that evening of ‘Mannat’.
