Banke Bihari Temple Treasure: Vrindavan: Banke Bihari Lal, one of the popular temples in India, is once again in the limelight. Toshkhana, considered to be the treasure of the temple, became a source of curiosity among all. It was claimed that behind this door, which was closed for more than half a century, there was a huge wealth of the temple. The Toshkhana was claimed to contain many valuables, jewelery and ornaments. Also, all these properties were said to be the personal treasure of Banke Bihari. This treasure trove of Banke Bihari Mandir’s wealth was opened in full order and in the presence of the Supreme Court team. But what was found inside shocked everyone.
Banke Bihari temple premises are always crowded with devotees. There was a lot of discussion in the entire country including Vrindavan as the Ghoshkhana of the temple was to be opened. This door was opened in the presence of officers, Goswami, priests, police and some selected servants. All eyes were fixed on one place which was the treasure room. The door of which was closed for the last 54 years. It is said that history breathes in this room, believed to be a confluence of faith and mystery.

It was decided that the door of this Ghoshkhana, which is considered very mysterious, will be opened on the day of Dhanteras. Tight security arrangements were made for this important historical moment. Senior officials from NDRF, Forest Department, Fire Brigade, Health Department and Police Administration were present. On the day of Dhanteras, it was expected to get Gadganj wealth, ornaments from Ghoshkhana. On the occasion of Dhanter, a room in the Banke Bihari temple, which had been closed for half a century, was opened. The decision to open it was taken on the orders of a high-powered committee. As soon as the door opened, everyone present looked in surprise.
No piles of jeweled crowns
The door of the hall was opened after lighting a lamp. The doors were opened through the efforts of the people. This time the scene inside was like an old story. There was a musty smell all around, the walls were covered with thick layers of dust and were also filled with water. There were nets in many places. According to the legend about the temple’s Ghoshkhana, it was expected that there would be riches inside. But in reality, everyone was a hero. Because none of the treasures people imagined were found inside. There were no piles of gold and silver or jeweled crowns. However, some silverware, many years old, covered with a layer of dust, has been found.

After opening the Ghoshkhana, some urns were also found. Some brass objects were also found. A wooden box is also said to have been found. Dinesh Goswami said there was a large amount of garbage lying inside, which was hampering further investigations. This action has been stopped. Meanwhile, CO Sandeep Singh said that today’s proceedings have been stopped. Further search and cataloging of the treasure will be done only after further orders. All eyes are now on the committee’s next order to see what other secrets will be revealed after the centuries-old treasure is cleared of debris.
