
Veteran actor Asrani sadly passed away at 84. The tragic news was confirmed by nephew Ashok Asrani. The Bollywood veteran originally from Jaipur Rajasthan made a mark in the entertainment industry. The sad news was revealed at 4pm after the veteran star suffered with prolonged illness. For the unversed Asrani has worked for five decades and has appeared in over 350 films. His comedy and powerful acting have been the backbone of every major film. Asrani dies aged 84 after prolonged illness Asranis greatest popularity came in the 1970s. His many successful films include Mere Apne Koshish Bawarchi Parichay Abhimaan Chupke Chupke Chhoti Si Baat Rafoo Chakkar and his most successful role that of a jailer in Sholay. His dialogue delivery was so perfect that not only audiences but critics alike were always effusive in his praise. Actor-director Govardhan Asrani popularly known as 'Asrani' passed away in Mumbai today after a prolonged illness. His last rites were performed at Santacruz Crematorium.
