Its pain can occur anywhere in the stomach or back. According to experts, the problem of drinking less water is the most important reason for its formation. Apart from this, wrong eating habits can also be the reason for the formation of kidney stones. In such a situation, doctors say that by making some improvements in the diet, the ability to form kidney stones can be reduced.

Drink more water-
A person should drink 12-16 cups of water daily. People with heart and kidney problems should follow the advice of their experts. Apart from this, drink adequate amount of water to keep urine clean and dirt-free.

Maintain a low sodium diet-
Consuming too much salt or sodium increases the calcium levels in your body and reduces citrate in urine. This increases the risk of kidney stones. Consume fresh fruits- Daily consumption of fresh fruits reduces the chances of kidney stone formation.

Limit meat consumption-
Excessive meat consumption can increase the levels of uric acid, calcium and oxalate in urine. This may increase the risk of kidney stone formation. It is recommended to eat only 6-8 ounces of meat per day.

Consumption of limited amount of calcium-

Citrate found in citrus fruits prevents the formation of kidney stones. Lemon and lime have proven to be the best sources of citrate. Apart from this, oranges and grapes also prevent the formation of kidney stones.

Limit the amount of oxalate-
Oxalate is a naturally occurring substance found in many types of foods. High amounts of oxalate are found in spinach, berries, beets, chocolate, French fries, nuts, soya products etc. Consume them in limited quantities.
