Virginia Giuffre claimed she was amazed about one thing regarding Prince Andrew in her new bombshell memoir. The late Ms Giuffre, previously known as Virginia Roberts (her maiden name), was one of the most prominent accusers of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and also a campaigner for victims of sex trafficking.

She alleged that Epstein forced her to have sex with the former Duke of York three times when she was 17 - in New York, London, and the US Virgin Islands. Andrew has repeatedly and vehemently denied the claims. In her new memoir, which she wrote before taking her own life last April, aged 41, she made various claims about Andrew.

One of them was about the infamous picture of the prince with the convicted paedophile strolling around Central Park in New York City, on December 5, 2010.

Talking about the picture, Ms Giuffre wrote: "I was of course revolted to see two of my abusers together, out for a stroll.

"But mostly I was amazed that a member of the Royal Family would be stupid enough to appear in public with Epstein."

Andrew still denies any allegations against him and has said he had "no recollection" of ever meeting Ms Giuffre.

He claimed that he could not have had sex with her in March 2001 because he was at Pizza Express with his daughter Beatrice on the day in question.

The royal announced his decision last Friday to relinquish his Dukedom of York and honours to not distract from the work of the King and the Royal Family. In his statement, he still denied any allegations against him, saying: "As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me."

In her final chapter, Ms Giuffre said: "I don't regret it, but the constant telling and retelling has been extremely painful and exhausting.

"With this book, I seek to free myself from my past. From now on, anyone who wants to know about what happened can sit down with Nobody's Girl and start reading."

She added: "If you've read this far, I hope my story has moved you - to seek ways to free yourself from a bad situation, say, to stand up for someone else in need, or to simply reframe how you judge victims of sexual abuse."
