Pakistan vs South Africa, 2nd Test: Pakistan's first innings in the second Test being played in Rawalpindi has ended. Hanuman ji's devotee playing from South Africa played a big role in Pakistan's first innings collapse. We are talking about Keshav Maharaj of Indian origin, who plays cricket from South Africa. Keshav Maharaj is a great devotee of Hanuman ji and has deep faith in Hindu religion. But, currently he is in the news for the havoc he wreaked with the ball in the Rawalpindi Test. The special thing in this is that Keshav Maharaj has done this while returning from injury.

Maharaj dominates after returning from injury

South African spinner Keshav Maharaj was suffering from groin injury. Due to this injury, he did not play the first Test against Pakistan in Lahore, in which South Africa had to face defeat by 93 runs. But, he came back and bowled brilliantly in the second and last test of the series in Rawalpindi.

Did this for the third time in 3 years

Keshav Maharaj took 7 wickets for 102 runs in 42.4 overs in the first innings of Rawalpindi Test against Pakistan. This is the 12th time in his Test career of 9 years, when he has taken 5 or more wickets in an innings. This is the third time not only in the last 3 years but also in his entire Test career, when he has taken 7 wickets in an innings. Earlier, Keshav Maharaj had achieved the feat of taking 7-7 wickets in an inning twice in 2 consecutive home Tests of the series played against Bangladesh in the year 2022. Overall, this is his best performance in Pakistan.

Pakistan's first innings ends at 333 runs

Now what was the effect of this demonstration of Keshav Maharaj? Pakistan's first innings was reduced to 333 runs. Pakistan started playing the second day ahead of its first day's score of 259 runs for 5 wickets. But, on the second day his remaining 5 wickets fell for 74 runs only.
